CABIN was founded in 2023 by Lawrence Hazen in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district with an exhibition program centered on emerging European painters alongside an independent bookshop. After moving CABIN's exhibition program to New York City, Lawrence initiated a residency program based in Potsdam, New York.

CABIN aims to catalyze an artistic ecosystem within Potsdam and contribute to a renewed cultural identity for the village. The residency will expand over the next year to accommodate up to 35 artists per session.
